Surgical ICU (SICU) — Travel RN | Dallas, TX

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This SICU position supports a high-acuity surgical patient population with a strong oncology focus. The unit manages complex cases requiring advanced critical care interventions, with assignments determined by patient acuity and nurse skill set.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks | Start: November 17, 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Positions Available: 2
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Clinical Scope

The unit performs central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, CRRT, and hypothermia protocol management, along with the full range of ICU procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• CCRN preferred

Preferred Experience

• CRRT and hypothermia/targeted temperature management protocols
• Surgical and oncology patient populations

Scheduling & Float

• Scheduling is flexible and posted one month in advance
• Floating to other units as needed
• Weekend and call requirements discussed at interview

Dress Code & Professional Standards

• Royal blue scrubs required
• No artificial, gel, or next-gen nails
• Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Visible piercings limited to ears only; tattoos covered when feasible
