Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll join a respiratory team providing direct patient care and respiratory support across the facility.
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients requiring oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, BIPAP/CPAP support, mechanical ventilation, and arterial blood gas sampling. This is a fast-paced environment where strong clinical judgment and quick decision-making are essential.
Requirements
- Current RRT credential
- Current Virginia state license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ICU experience required
- Ability to work rotating weekends
- On-call availability (approximately one 24-hour shift every 5–6 weeks)
Schedule & Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (night shift)
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Patient assignments: 20–25 treatments per round
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
