Inpatient Rehabilitation Nurse — Asheville, NC
*Day Shift | 13-Week Contract*
This travel nursing opportunity is based at an accredited inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the scenic mountains of Western North Carolina — the only dedicated rehabilitation hospital in the region (not a SNF). The facility provides a full continuum of post-acute care for patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and a range of other serious illnesses and injuries.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)
- Schedule: Primarily weekends, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 2, 2026
Unit Overview
- All four rehab units are connected and interchangeable; no traditional floating required
- CNAs available on all shifts; unit secretary support available daily
- Dialysis is performed on-unit by visiting dialysis nurses
- Dress code: Navy scrubs with white tops
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification (required)
- Med-Surg or Rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
What to Expect Clinically
Nurses care for a high-acuity post-acute population requiring skilled rehabilitation interventions. The care team utilizes specialty beds, IV pumps, feeding pumps, lifts, transfer equipment, and life vests. CNAs provide support across all shifts, allowing RNs to focus on clinical priorities.
