Emergency Department RN — Weatherford, TX
13-Week Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
This emergency department position supports a full-service ED in Weatherford, TX, managing a diverse patient population that includes stroke, STEMI, and trauma cases. The unit operates with an all-RN nursing staff, supported by lobby technicians and secretarial staff.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Variable schedule with every other weekend
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Floating required as needed
Clinical Scope
- Standard emergency department procedures
- Stroke response (primary stroke center designation)
- Chest pain and STEMI management with 24/7 PCI capability
- Trauma care
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with electronic documentation in a comparable ED environment
Dress Code
- Scrubs: Royal Blue
- No artificial, gel, or next-generation nails
- Hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
- Visible piercings limited to ears only; nose rings, tongue rings, etc. not permitted
- Body art should be covered whenever possible
- Shoes must be non-absorbent with slip-resistant soles; breathable mesh athletic shoes without leather/man-made uppers are not permitted
