Adult Behavioral Health Specialist
Position Overview
The facility seeks an Adult Behavioral Health Specialist to provide direct care to patients with mental health conditions. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, administer medications, and deliver therapeutic communication and crisis intervention in a supportive care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop tailored treatment plans
- Administer medications and provide therapeutic communication
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure patient safety
- Monitor patient well-being and educate patients and families
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Every other weekend
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- 2+ years of adult behavioral health experience (required)
- BLS certification (AHA) prior to start (required)
- NIHSS certification
- Oklahoma state license
- Handle with Care Certification (preferred)
- Must be 21+
- DHS fingerprinting required
- No previous disciplinary action
