Speech Language Pathologist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to develop and deliver treatment plans that improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities while reducing aspiration risk. You will lead the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies.
Clinical Scope
- Design individualized treatment plans focusing on swallowing, cognitive function, and communication skills
- Utilize evidence-based techniques to improve patient understanding and be understood by others
- Manage a diverse caseload of residents
- Communicate with facility leadership about treatment barriers and collaborate on solutions
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 30, 2026
- On-Call/Weekends: None required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of SLP experience (required)
- Current Texas license (required)
Caseload & Expectations
You will proactively build and manage your caseload using available patient referrals. The facility expects you to meet productivity standards. Guaranteed hours apply when you remain onsite and available but the facility cannot provide sufficient patient volume. Communicate proactively with leadership about any barriers to completing treatment.
