Medical ICU – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the facility's Medical ICU as a staff nurse on night shift.Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Scope
The unit manages high-acuity patients including those with respiratory failure, renal disease, sepsis, cardiac and respiratory arrest, ETOH withdrawal, and GI bleeds. You'll perform telemetry monitoring, manage complex medications and drips, and provide skilled nursing assessment and intervention.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent MICU/ICU experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Telemetry competency assessment on day 1
Preferred Skills
- Radial artery cannulation
- CRRT experience
- CCRN certification
- Strong blood draw and IV placement skills
