Labor & Delivery RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the labor and delivery unit for a 13-week assignment. You'll provide direct care to low- and high-risk obstetric patients across , labor-delivery-recovery, operating rooms, and postpartum areas. The unit supports neonates, adolescents, and adults with 24/7 OB hospitalist and anesthesia coverage on-site.
Schedule & Expectations
- Shift: Day 4x12-hour (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Weekends: 4 mandatory shifts per month (Friday or Saturday)
- On-Call: 2 mandatory on-call shifts per month (waived if working all 4 weekend shifts)
- Float: Willing to float within perinatal services as needed
- Holidays: Must work most holiday periods
- Time Off: Maximum 3 days RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO first two weeks
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 2 years L&D experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring with recognition and treatment of abnormal heart rate patterns
- Sterile vaginal exam experience and knowledge of CMQCC Category II algorithm
- C-section circulation skills
- AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced certifications
- Proficiency with electronic fetal monitoring systems
Certifications & Testing
- Advanced EKG exam (80% passing score required; 2 attempts permitted)
- Specialty modules required prior to start
- References required at submission
Facility Details
