Med/Surg – Surgical Trauma Floor | Night Shift | Atlanta, GA

This is a high-acuity medical/surgical floor specializing in surgical trauma care. The patient population includes post-operative surgical cases, gunshot wound patients, and individuals with spinal cord injuries including quadriplegia and paraplegia. The unit operates with a structured care team that includes nursing support technicians, phlebotomists, and a unit secretary during night hours. Nurse handoffs are conducted directly with ED nurses upon patient admission.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• No block scheduling — must be flexible with assigned shifts
• No time off requests (RTO) honored during the contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of med/surg or surgical trauma nursing experience
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Electronic health record proficiency required
• Active RN license appropriate for practice in Georgia
