Emergency Room Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to provide immediate, specialized emergency care to patients presenting with urgent medical needs. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary emergency medical services team, assessing and stabilizing patients, coordinating care, and communicating effectively with staff, patients, and families.
Shift & Schedule
- Three 12-hour shifts weekly: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Regular evening, night, and weekend shifts
- 13-week contract
- Start date: November 4, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Valid, current New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 3 years of emergency nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of patient growth and development across the lifespan
- Ability to individualize care plans based on patient needs
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize patients presenting with acute medical conditions
- Coordinate multidisciplinary emergency care
- Communicate clearly with clinical team, patients, and families
- Perform CPR and other emergency interventions
- Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and practical emergency care skills
Working Conditions
- OSHA Category A exposure potential (blood and infectious body substances)
- Physical demands: bending, lifting, standing, walking, and performing CPR
- Fast-paced emergency environment
License & Certification Requirements
You are responsible for maintaining current licensure and certifications, and for notifying the facility immediately of any certification or licensure issues.
