Position Details
- Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 4 days per week (12-hour shifts)
- Contract Duration: 90 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
- Location: Wichita, KS
About the Role
You'll provide direct patient care to critically ill and premature infants in the NICU. Your responsibilities will include continuous monitoring, medication administration, respiratory support management, family education, and collaboration with neonatologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes for your smallest and most vulnerable patients.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (verification through Nursys required)
- Valid state nursing license
- NICU experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Onboarding Requirements
Standard facility onboarding includes skills checklist completion, competency assessments, immunization verification (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza), TB screening, background check, and drug screening. Candidates must be available to complete all requirements prior to assignment start.
