Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Greensboro, NC | Nights | 20-Week Contract

This is an urgent opening in a combined adult and pediatric, non-trauma Emergency Department. First-time travelers are welcome, and candidates may start with select compliance items still pending.

Schedule

• 4x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• At least 8 weekend shifts per contract; holiday coverage required
• Float to other campus locations as needed

Clinical Scope

The ED serves adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients across a full range of emergency diagnoses. Required clinical skills include:

• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• IV placement and maintenance; continuous IV sedation and vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• CPAP/BiPAP management
• Ventilated patient care
• Arterial blood gas interpretation
• Phlebotomy
• Dysrhythmia/EKG interpretation

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, IV teams, social services, and interpretation services.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• EKG competency exam required (2 attempts allowed)
• Electronic health record experience required
• No open background cases; no candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted

• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
