Pharmacist — Inpatient
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Pharmacist to join the inpatient pharmacy team. You'll verify and fill medication orders, monitor patient therapies, provide drug information, and identify potential medication safety hazards. You'll document interactions for medical review and supervise pharmacy support staff.
Shift & Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: November 23, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Process, enter, verify, and distribute medication orders in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure medication therapy is safe, effective, and cost-efficient
- Conduct daily medication utilization reviews to identify improvement opportunities
- Participate in clinical rounds and medication management activities
- Troubleshoot medication safety concerns and recommend solutions
- Maintain compliance with drug formulary and accrediting standards
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy support personnel
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
- Valid Pharmacist license in California
- ACLS (or equivalent), BLS (or equivalent), and PALS (or equivalent)
- At least one year of technical pharmacy experience
- Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- PharmD degree preferred
