Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / Neonatal
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide coordinated nursing care in the Labor & Delivery and Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care unit. You will deliver direct patient care, supervise nursing staff, collaborate with the care team, and ensure safe, compassionate outcomes for mothers and newborns.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36–48 hours per week (guaranteed minimum 36 hours)
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and care for laboring patients and postpartum mothers
- Provide neonatal intensive care to level 2 patients
- Supervise and coordinate nursing and support staff activities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform intermediate fetal monitoring and labor support
- Educate patients and families; coordinate discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in Labor & Delivery and postpartum
- Level 2 NICU experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications current and required
- Intermediate fetal monitoring experience
- BSN preferred
