Registered Nurse

House Supervisor — Night Shift | New York

Shift: Nights, 4×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Contract Duration: 8 weeks

Start Date: December 2026

Role Overview

This position oversees nursing operations across multiple units during overnight and weekend hours, serving as the senior clinical leader on site when no other facility leadership is present. You'll be responsible for staffing decisions, escalation management, and clinical support across a diverse inpatient census.

Units Covered

• Medical/Surgical, Surgical, Behavioral Health, Operating Room, and Emergency Department
• Patient populations: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics, Pediatrics

Key Responsibilities

• Centralized staffing and census management
• Code management and rapid response coordination
• Crisis intervention, de-escalation, and managing assaultive behavior
• Narcotic diversion monitoring
• Facility and bed diversion decisions
• Supporting all units as a clinical expert resource
• Dysrhythmia recognition and management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years RN experience
• Minimum 1 year experience as a House Supervisor
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active New York RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)

Certifications Required

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Scheduling

• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating across units required

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Comfortable functioning as the highest-level leader on site during off-hours
• No more than 10 days of pre-approved time off per contract
