Labor and Delivery RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for night shifts. You'll provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, manage deliveries, and support newborn care in the nursery. This is a high-energy environment where clinical skill, quick thinking, and teamwork are essential.

Shift & Contract

• Schedule: Night 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Float: You will float within the hospital as needed, utilizing your L&D and nursery skill set

Requirements

• New York RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 3 years clinical L&D experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong nursery skills
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (current within past 2 years)
• BLS and NRP certifications

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates must have a primary residence outside the 50-mile local radius. If you were previously permanent staff at the facility, you must have been away for at least one year before returning as a traveler.

Onboarding

You'll complete orientation modules (approximately 12–15 hours) before your start date. An EKG competency exam is required within 72 hours of signing; you must achieve a 100% passing score on the pre-assessment and 85% on the facility's onsite exam, with identification of all critical rhythms.
