Surgical Technologist – OR & Endoscopy
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support operating room and endoscopy procedures. You'll work in a fast-paced acute care setting serving adult and geriatric patients.
Schedule & Commitment
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday (5x8 hours)
- On-Call: Approximately 8 weeknight call shifts and 2 weekend 24-hour shifts per 6-week rotation (call hours: 4:30 PM – 7:30 AM weeknights; full 24 hours weekends)
- Float: Required to assist with cases in OR as needed
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Surgical Tech
- License: Current compact state license required at submission
- Certifications: BLS preferred
- Travel Status: Must be a travel-eligible candidate
- References: 2 professional references covering the last 1 year (within past 3 years)
Clinical Scope
You'll handle instrument processing, sterilization, and preparation for:
- Urology cases (required)
- Endoscopic/laparoscopic procedures (required)
- ENT cases (preferred)
- Bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, flexible sigmoidoscopy, cystoscopy, bone marrow biopsies, and prostate biopsies
Uniforms & Systems
- Scrubs provided for OR/specialty areas
- Charting system in use at facility
Important Notes
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during application
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
- Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
