Ultrasound Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) in a busy ultrasound department serving diverse patient populations across all age groups.
Clinical Scope
You'll perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations including:
- Obstetric imaging (first, second, and third trimester; fetal anatomical surveys; fetal echocardiography)
- Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound
- Vascular studies (duplex, arterial and venous imaging, carotid, renal artery)
- Pediatric imaging
- Ultrasound-guided procedures (biopsies, fine needle aspiration, amniocentesis, paracentesis, thoracentesis)
- Specialty studies (thyroid, breast, transcranial Doppler, intraoperative)
Requirements
- ARDMS certification and current BLS
- Minimum 1 year of professional ultrasound experience
- Compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
- 3 years of charge experience preferred
Schedule & Expectations
- Day shift, 5 days per week
- Call duty: a couple nights per week and up to 2 weekend shifts per schedule
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- 40-hour orientation
- May float to nearby sister facilities as needed
- All scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
