Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Labor & Delivery unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic L&D environment, supporting patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 × 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 hours/week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current Georgia or compact state nursing license
- Minimum 18 months of L&D experience
- BLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Proficiency with IV insertion and electronic charting
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor laboring patients and fetal status
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Provide immediate postpartum and newborn care
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
- Float to other departments as operational needs arise
