Office Nurse – Outpatient Family Practice
Position Overview
Join the clinical team at an outpatient family practice setting, supporting primary care providers in delivering comprehensive health care. You'll work alongside LPNs and Medical Assistants, guiding their clinical activities while managing direct patient care, procedures, and office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patient charts and medical records for provider visits
- Prepare patients for examination and document medical histories
- Assist providers with examinations, injections, wound care, and minor procedures
- Remove sutures, clean wounds, and apply dressings
- Manage medically related phone calls and patient inquiries
- Maintain clinical areas, sterilize instruments, and stock supplies
- Teach and supervise clinical support staff in delegated care tasks
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of clinic or medical office experience (required)
- Wound care experience (required)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- Current New Hampshire RN license
- Strong communication skills with patients and clinical teams
- Gastroenterology and Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred
Position Details
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: Late November 2026
- Location: Peterborough, New Hampshire
- On-Call: None
- Weekends: None
