Med/Surg RN — 3 East Unit | Austin, TX
13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
This Med/Surg unit specializes in the care of neurological patients, with a particular focus on epilepsy management. Candidates with neurology or epilepsy care experience will be highly competitive for this role.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call requirements
Clinical Scope
- Neurological and medical/surgical patient population
- Telemetry monitoring
- Epilepsy and seizure care
- Supportive equipment includes video EEG monitoring, bladder scanning, and mechanical lift devices
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Telemetry competency
- Hospital-based nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of nursing experience
- Experience in epilepsy or neurology care
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
