Adolescent Behavioral Health RN — Asheville, NC

This travel nursing opportunity places you on a dedicated Adolescent Behavioral Health unit in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit focuses on psychiatric care for adolescent patients in a structured, therapeutic environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Some weekend availability required
• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

The unit is a small, close-knit adolescent psychiatric setting staffed by one RN and two Behavioral Health Technicians per shift. You will carry responsibility for the full unit census, requiring strong assessment skills, clear clinical judgment, and the ability to maintain therapeutic boundaries in a high-needs adolescent population.

Typical Responsibilities

• Psychiatric patient assessments
• Medication administration
• Maintaining professional boundaries and evidence-based nursing practice

Float Requirements

May be required to float to Adult or Child Behavioral Health units as needed.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• CPI

Required Experience

• Behavioral Health nursing experience (required)
• Pediatric Behavioral Health experience (preferred)
