Mammography Technologist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a day shift assignment in an outpatient radiology setting. This is an ideal opportunity for a travel professional with at least one year of mammography experience looking to join a collaborative clinical team.
Schedule & Duration
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday (5x8-hour days)
- Alternative: 4x10 block scheduling available for the right candidate (must include Saturday work)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
Clinical Scope
You'll manage approximately 20 patient visits daily across two dedicated mammography rooms, performing:
- 3-D and digital mammography (screening and diagnostic)
- Stereotactic biopsies and fine needle aspirations
- Needle localizations
- Hologic 3-D imaging
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
Requirements
- License: Valid California state license (compact license accepted)
- Certifications: ARRT M, ARRT R, BLS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in mammography
- References: Two professional references covering the past year
Important Notes
- No weekends required
- May be asked to float to nearby sister facilities as needed
- Must commit to working three of five designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during application
- Maximum 7-day RTO window
