Mammography Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Santa Rosa, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a travel professional with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Schedule & Details
- Shift: Day, 5x8 hours (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
- Flexible scheduling: 4x10 block scheduling available for the right candidate
- Saturday work required
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract duration: 26 weeks
Clinical Scope
You will manage approximately 20 patient visits per day across 2 rooms in an outpatient mammography setting. You will perform a full range of imaging procedures, including:
- Diagnostic and screening mammograms
- 3-D mammography
- Digital mammography
- Fine needle aspiration
- Needle localizations
- Stereotactic biopsy
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. You'll work collaboratively with radiology support staff.
Requirements
- Current California state license (compact licenses accepted)
- ARRT M and ARRT R certifications
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience
- Two professional references covering the last 3 years
Important Notes
- You may be required to float to nearby sister facilities; refusal may result in assignment termination
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- You must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Return staff may do so after 3 months
