Respiratory Therapist – CVICU
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. You'll provide direct respiratory care to high-acuity cardiac and post-operative patients in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Shift & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Start date: November 29, 2026
Requirements
- 3–5 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Minimum 2 weeks of recent critical care experience
- Current NBRC registration
- Active RCP license from the Texas Medical Board
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory care to cardiac ICU patients, including post-operative and high-acuity cases
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols and safety standards
Onboarding & Credentialing
Standard facility onboarding requirements apply, including background check, vaccinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza, Varicella, Tdap), TB screening, fit testing, and skills verification. Professional references and education verification required at submission.
