Registered Nurse – Cardiac Care
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced RN to join the cardiac intensive care unit on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
About the Role
You will deliver direct nursing care to cardiac patients, supervise assigned nursing staff, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams. Your responsibilities include patient assessment and monitoring, care plan development and implementation, patient and family education, discharge planning, and delegation of team member duties.
Unit Focus
The cardiac care unit manages high-acuity patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention. You will apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- RN licensure in California (current and valid)
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
- Proficiency with electronic health records
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
- 13-week contract
