Emergency Room RN — Muscatine, IA | 13-Week Contract

This multi-campus Emergency Room travel assignment offers variety and high-acuity clinical experience across several care settings in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. The position requires floating across campuses as needed and scheduled.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 × 12-hour shifts, rotating
• Start times vary: 12:00–00:00 or 19:00–07:00 (start time dependent on staffing)
• Weekend shifts scheduled as needed
• Must be available to work 1–2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) unless the unit is closed

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of Emergency Room experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Experience with critical emergency infusions: pressors, antiarrhythmics, and sedation
• Proficiency with BiPAP ventilation, cardiac monitoring, and IV pumps
• Float coverage across multiple campuses required

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) — required at submission
• Active ACLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• PALS (AHA)
• CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA — highly preferred; may be obtained during onboarding
• Active Iowa RN license

• Resume with all employment gaps over 30 days explained
• ER-specific skills checklist
• One supervisory reference (completed within the last 24 months)
• License verification (dated within 30 days)
• Valid driver's license

• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Contract length: 13 weeks | Guaranteed hours: 36 hrs/week
