Surgical Scrub Tech – Orthopedic First Assist

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Surgical Scrub Technician with orthopedic expertise to join the operating room team. This role focuses on first assist duties in orthopedic cases, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to anticipate surgeon needs in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Schedule & Contract

• 5 × 8-hour days per week (40 hours)
• Rotating call: 1–2 days per week on average, plus every fourth weekend
• 13-week contract with guaranteed 32 hours per week
• Start date: January 4, 2027

Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential or equivalent state registration
• Minimum orthopedic surgical experience required
• First assist experience in orthopedic cases preferred

What You'll Do

Support orthopedic surgical procedures as scrub tech and first assist, maintaining sterile technique, managing instruments and equipment, and collaborating closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth, efficient case flow.
