Certified Surgical Technologist – Heart and Vascular
About the Role
The facility seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) to support perioperative care in a heart and vascular surgical environment. You'll prepare instruments and equipment, assist surgical teams during procedures, and maintain strict aseptic technique and safety protocols throughout each case.
Schedule & Duration
- Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 29, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for heart and vascular procedures
- Maintain sterile field and follow Standard Precautions
- Assist surgical teams intraoperatively
- Demonstrate critical thinking and work independently with minimal supervision
- Adapt to a fast-paced surgical environment
Requirements
- Current NBSTSA certification and valid license verification through Nursys
- Extensive heart and vascular surgical experience required
- Vaccinations per facility protocol (MMR, Tdap, varicella, hepatitis B, influenza, TB screening)
- Drug screen and background check clearance
- Fit test and health statement
