About the Role
You'll join the respiratory services department at a major medical center in Asheville, NC, providing direct patient care across adult and pediatric critical care units and floors. This is a night shift position with the opportunity to float across all critical care areas, bringing your expertise to patients at varying acuity levels.
What You'll Do
- Manage mechanical ventilation and non-invasive respiratory support
- Provide care to post-operative, critically ill, and pediatric patients
- Work with a full range of respiratory equipment and devices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in fast-paced critical care environments
Required Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Respiratory License
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Preferred
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Schedule & Expectations
- Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Varying weekend shifts (minimum 4 per 6-week schedule)
- Float pool assignment across critical care units
- Medium gray/pewter scrubs
