Telemetry / PCU Registered Nurse — San Jose, CA

13-Week Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed

This combined Telemetry/PCU unit manages a high-acuity cardiovascular and post-operative patient population in a fast-paced environment. The unit cares for stroke patients, post-op open-heart surgery patients (day 3+), angiogram and PCI patients, and a variety of other post-surgical cases.

Clinical Scope

• Procedures include TR band maintenance, chest tube management, wound vac care, swallow/dysphagia assessments, and continuous rhythm interpretation
• Nurses are expected to manage moderate-to-high acuity telemetry and PCU patients with competence and adaptability

Schedule & Logistics

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends; no on-call requirement
• No guaranteed set schedule
• Float possible to cardiovascular and med-surgical units as needed
• Scrubs: any color

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5–2 years of telemetry experience (required)
• PCU, telemetry, or stroke experience preferred
• Active RN license
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
