Med-Surg / Oncology — Travel RN | Utica, NY | Night Shift
This 13-week contract places you on a multi-specialty medical unit serving adult patients (18+) across oncology, hematology, nephrology, endocrinology, GI, dermatology, and general medicine.
Shift Details
- Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 3×12-hour shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed)
- Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
- Start date: November 30, 2026
Unit Overview
The unit manages a broad, high-acuity patient population with diagnoses including cancer, hematologic disorders, end-stage renal disease, diabetes, GI conditions, abdominal pain, and dermatologic conditions. Nurses routinely work with IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, and specialty beds.

Required Credentials & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg / Oncology nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active New York RN license (verified via NURSYS)
- Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Up-to-date resume documenting travel and specialty experience
- Completed Med-Surg / Oncology skills checklist
- Valid driver's license with address matching submitted demographics
- RTO must be submitted at time of application
