Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

About the Role

The facility is seeking an RN to join its medical-surgical and telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care to adults with a wide range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions on the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans using evidence-based nursing practice
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac medications as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education on conditions, medications, and treatment plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team—physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and nursing staff—to ensure quality outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• 1+ years of med-surg/telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry and EKG interpretation
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred

Schedule & Assignment

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 30, 2026
• Location: Corbin, KY
