Registered Nurse – Critical Care Unit

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Unit. In this role, you'll provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and life support. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team, managing complex patients and advanced equipment while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as appropriate
• Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips, per physician orders
• Manage advanced life support equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and the care team on individualized treatment plans
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and care needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols for high-acuity patients

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of ICU/critical care experience
• ADN/ASN required; BSN preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with critical care equipment, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips

Schedule & Contract

• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Full-time position; on-call shifts may be required
• Weekends and holidays included
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 30, 2026
