Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit. You'll deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment supported by a dedicated nursing team.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: nights (PM–AM)
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- May float to Medical/Surgical units as needed
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver direct patient care including intervention, evaluation, and education
- Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips (telemetry competency test required on day 1)
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
- Coordinate and delegate patient care activities as appropriate
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter/interpret computerized clinical data
- Support quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years RN experience in multi-specialty ICU (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, or CT)
- Current MA RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Telemetry experience required
- Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Physical ability to meet job demands
