Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN — Travel Contract

Maryville, TN | Nights | 13 Weeks

This night shift opportunity is on an adult medical-surgical telemetry unit managing a general medical and pre/post-operative patient population, including post-heart catheterization care. The unit serves adult and geriatric patients and operates with strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12 or 4x12 nights, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required (subject to change based on need)
• Float to similar units required as needed

Clinical Skills Required

• Post-heart cath monitoring and care
• Bedside procedures: dialysis catheter insertion, thoracentesis, I&D
• Central line and PICC line management
• Heparin protocols; cardiac drip management (no titration)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Blood product administration
• Pre/post-hemodialysis management
• Wound care/wound vac, PCA, CBI, feeding tube management
• Port access, peripheral IV management, TR Band

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with an electronic medical records system
• First-time travelers considered based on experience

Onboarding Notes

• Orientation is held every Monday
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Module time (up to 16 hours) is reimbursable
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
