Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Maryville, TN

13-Week Contract | 4x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

This Med/Surg Telemetry unit cares for adult and geriatric patients across a range of general medical, pre-operative, and post-operative diagnoses. Nurses on this unit manage post-cardiac catheterization patients and perform or assist with bedside procedures including dialysis catheter insertions, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage.

Shift & Scheduling

• 3x12 or 4x12 nights, 1900–0730
• Every other weekend required; schedule may adjust based on census
• Float to similar units is required as needed

Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

• Port access and management
• Blood product administration
• Central line and PICC line care
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Cardiac drip management (no titration)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Wound care and wound vac
• PCA, heparin protocols, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN Tennessee license
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Electronic health record experience: minimum 1 year required

• Start date: November 30, 2026
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials (up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable)
• Orientation held on Mondays
• First-time travelers considered based on experience
