Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

Join the Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse on the night shift. You'll deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced, acute-care environment, working alongside an interdisciplinary team committed to quality patient outcomes.

Shift & Schedule

• Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 4, 2026
• Holiday Coverage: Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Current, active RN license (Ohio or compact state) — must be in hand at time of application
• Minimum 12 months permanent experience in emergency nursing
• Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• TNCC certification preferred
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director (from past 12 months)

Clinical Responsibilities

You'll provide acute emergency care to patients across the acuity spectrum, perform ECG interpretation and rhythm recognition, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians, residents, and ancillary staff to stabilize and treat emergency patients.

Pre-Employment & Orientation

• ECG rhythm recognition assessment and SafeMedicate competency evaluation required during orientation (passing score mandatory)
• Background check and drug screening required
• Orientation includes facility-specific modules (completion timeline discussed during interview)
