Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist for a day shift assignment. You'll work in a busy cardiac catheterization department performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 4x10-hour days, 06:00–18:30
• Call: Approximately 5–6 nights per month (weeknight call 17:00–06:30); one weekend of call per month (Friday 17:00–Monday 06:30)
• No floating required
• Contract Duration: 14 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of cardiac catheterization lab experience
• Active Maryland license (or Compact license)
• RCIS or ARRT certification with catheterization experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Basic EKG interpretation skills

Clinical Scope

You'll scrub and circulate procedures including:

• Adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
• Left and right heart catheterizations
• PCI, PTCA, and rotational atherectomy
• Cardiac stent placement
• TAVR and AAA repair
• Pacemaker and defibrillator insertion/removal
• AICD insertion and programming
• Peripheral angiography (lower-extremity and carotid interventions)
• IABP placement and removal
• Cardiac implant closure devices

You must be proficient in recognizing life-threatening dysrhythmias, maintaining sterile technique, and managing room circulation.

Facility Details

• 5 procedure rooms
• Average daily census: approximately 20 patients with 15 visits per day
• Strong vascular procedure experience required
