Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Charlotte, NC

Contract: 26 weeks | Shift: 4x12 Nights (18:45–07:15) | Start: November 2026

This high-volume Emergency Department manages a diverse adult patient population with complex presentations including STEMI, stroke, and trauma. The unit sees approximately 170 visits per day across 53 rooms, supported by interdisciplinary services including rapid response teams, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and radiology.

Schedule Details

• Nights: 18:45–07:15
• Every other weekend required
• No call, no float required
• No block scheduling

Required Skills

• IV starts, , telemetry, conscious sedation
• EKG competency (testing required prior to start)

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, MOAB

Preferred

• ENPC certification
• Trauma experience

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Orientation: 36–48 hours

Scrubs: Navy blue

Additional Notes

• Pre-approved time off of up to 7 days (excluding holidays); no RTO requests after signing
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• NC or compact license pending is acceptable for submission
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Strong adherence to attendance and call-off policy is strictly enforced
