Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Saratoga Springs, NY | Days (10:00–22:30) | 13-Week Contract

This fast-paced, combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department is seeking an experienced travel RN with strong ED clinical skills and a solid foundation in cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour day shifts (10:00–22:30)
• Facility may call off up to 3 times per contract
• Block scheduling accommodated when possible
• Maximum RTO: 7 days per contract
• No dedicated floating, though float within skillset may occur at manager's discretion

Patient Population & Acuity

The ED cares for all age groups — neonates through geriatrics — in a high-volume environment. Nurses manage telemetry, , 12-lead EKG acquisition, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, rapid response, social services, and interpretation services.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of current ED experience strongly preferred
• Active New York RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS, PALS, NIHSS required at start
• ACLS and TNCC preferred
• Candidates must pass an on-site proctored EKG exam (≥85% overall; 100% accuracy on critical rhythms)
• Pre-screening Relias EKG exam required within 72 hours of signing

Additional Requirements

• Influenza vaccine required by November 1; exemption documentation due two weeks prior to start
• Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• All required Healthstream modules must be completed by 7:00 AM the Wednesday before orientation
