ED Holding RN – Float Pool

Position Overview

Join the ED Holding unit as a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN supporting patients in the Emergency Department who are awaiting inpatient beds. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment managing diverse adult medical and surgical diagnoses, including some progressive care level patients.

Shift & Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks (36 or 48-hour weekly contracts accepted; longer contracts through February 2027 available)
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Time Off: Up to 7 days of approved RTO per contract (none during first week); no additional RTO requests permitted after signing
• Call: None required

Clinical Details

Required Qualifications

• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• MS/Tele and ED holding experience essential
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting

Additional Expectations

• Navy scrubs
• 12-hour orientation
• May be assigned to Storm/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
