Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Nights | Potsdam, NY

This 13-week night shift contract places you in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department managing a broad range of acuities — from behavioral health presentations to complex trauma, stroke, and critical care patients across all age groups, including neonates through geriatrics.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)
• Start date: November 23, 2026

Clinical Scope

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, blood product administration
• Central line care, phlebotomy, IV insertion
• Management of ventilated patients and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Conditions include: CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, neuro/ortho trauma, seizures, asthma, burns, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, behavioral/mental health, and more
• Floating may be required

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS

Preferred Certifications

• CPI, TCAR

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• All age groups including pediatrics
• Active NY state license required prior to submission
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers welcome
• Charting experience is a hard requirement
