MRI Technologist – Travel Contract | Rochester, NY
Nights | 4x10-Hour Shifts (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM) | 13 Weeks
This is a night shift MRI travel opportunity in Rochester, NY, open to first-time travelers with at least one year of MRI experience. The position supports a broad patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics across both acute care and outpatient settings.
Clinical Scope
The role involves a high volume of imaging studies (~20 visits per day) covering a wide range of MRI applications, including:
- Brain, face/soft tissue, and neck imaging
- Spine imaging (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
- Abdomen, breast, and chest
- Advanced sequences: diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo, perfusion, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction techniques
Floating is required. Interdisciplinary support on-site includes pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, interpretation services, IV teams, and patient transportation.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license required at time of submission
- ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
- Proficiency in electronic health record charting is a hard requirement
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
- Requested time off may not exceed 10 days per contract
Orientation
Approximately 40 hours of orientation are provided. Pre-start modules vary by specialty and must be completed before the first shift.
