Oncology Infusion Nurse — Rochester, NY

Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 13-Week Contract

This outpatient Medical Oncology Infusion Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Monday–Friday day shift position (7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., 8-hour shifts based on department needs). The unit serves an active oncology patient population requiring chemotherapy administration and a broad range of infusion therapies.

Clinical Scope

• Administration of chemotherapy (IV push and infusion), blood and blood products, coagulation factors, antifungals, and antivirals
• Care and management of ports and PICC lines
• Infusion pump management and intravenous hydration
• Body fluid handling post-chemotherapy
• Starting and maintaining peripheral IVs

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: Days, 5×8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
• Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Float: Required to all other infusion locations within the system
• No weekend shifts required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of oncology/infusion nursing experience
• Active New York RN license required prior to submission
• BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• Charting system experience required (hard requirement)
• Strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility, adaptability, and collaborative communication are essential

• First-time travelers are welcome
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for travel rates
• Pre-start modules are required; up to 5 hours are billable
