Psychiatric Nurse – Nights | Wichita, KS
This is a 13-week contract placement on a psychiatric unit in Wichita, KS, with night shifts running 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM on a 4x12 schedule.
Position Details
- Shift: 4 x 12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 22, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call: None required
- Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs
Clinical Setting
You'll work in a psychiatric unit caring for patients across a range of behavioral health and mental health presentations. Float coverage may be required to like units on the same campus or a nearby campus within the Wichita area.

Onboarding Requirements
- Core competency and EKG exam completion
- Point-of-care glucose testing competency
- Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza
- TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
- Respiratory fit test
- 11-panel drug screen
- Criminal background check
- Education and employment verification
Candidates with psychiatric nursing experience and current Kansas licensure (or compact license eligibility) are encouraged to apply.
