Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
Join the cardiovascular operating room team at the facility in Overland Park, KS as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Nurse.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 4 x 10-hour shifts (07:00–17:00)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
Role Responsibilities
You will provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative support, and post-operative monitoring. Your scope includes assisting with coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repairs and replacements, and other cardiac procedures. You'll work alongside experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Kansas)
- CNOR certification or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 1–2 years of CVOR experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and surgical techniques
- Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and work efficiently under pressure
