PACU RN – Seasonal Travel Position

Position Details

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Duration: 13 weeks (seasonal)
• Location: Englewood, CO
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Unit

You'll work in a high-volume Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) that manages diverse surgical recoveries across multiple service lines. The unit handles a broad patient population including neuro/stroke cases, interventional radiology, TAVR procedures, and surgeries spanning spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotic cases. Staff float between the main PACU and surgical specialty divisions to maintain flexibility and support patient flow based on daily surgery schedules.

Patient Care & Environment

• Patient ratios: 1 RN to 2 patients (up to 3 for same-day surgery cases)
• Staffing aligned with ASPAN standards
• High-acuity post-operative and critical care overflow patients
• Fast-paced environment with variable daily census

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year current hospital PACU experience (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flexible, outgoing demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• Stroke care experience
• Critical care background
