RN – Level 3 NICU

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN for a 13-week contract assignment in its Level 3 NICU. This is a backfill, seasonal position on the day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM). No on-call required; weekend work is expected.

Unit Details

You'll join a dedicated NICU team caring for moderately ill and convalescing newborns. The unit operates with a collaborative staffing model of RNs, nursing assistants, and support staff. Patient ratios are 3–4 patients per RN.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience (required)
• Current RN license and BLS certification
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required

What You'll Do

Provide direct patient care including medication administration, monitoring, feeding support, family education, and routine procedures typical of Level 3 NICU settings. You'll work with standard neonatal equipment and documentation systems.

Unit Culture

The team values friendly, outgoing, and compassionate caregivers. Strict dress code: navy scrubs; no nail polish or artificial nails.
