Orthopedic/Surgical RN – Night Shift | Santa Rosa, CA | 26-Week Contract

This travel RN position is in an acute care orthopedic and surgical unit serving an adult patient population. The unit manages post-operative orthopedic patients including total joint replacements, arthroplasty, and spine surgeries, as well as multi-trauma patients and med/surg overflow. Remote telemetry monitoring is utilized across the unit.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday commitment: must work 3 of 5 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between like units may be required; refusal to float may impact guaranteed hours

Contract Details

• Duration: 26 weeks | Start: November 30, 2026
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Guaranteed hours: facility may call off once per two-week pay period
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) accepted

Certifications Required

• BLS

Scrubs: Royal Blue or Navy Blue | Parking: Complimentary

Clinical Skills Required

• Port access and management, central line and PICC care
• BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes
• Continuous bladder irrigation, lumbar drains, peripheral nerve block catheters
• Blood product administration, PCA management
• Wound care/wound vac, traction, ortho trauma
• Substance withdrawal monitoring, telemetry (remote), isolation/PPE protocols
